- MEDIA AND POLITICIANS LOVE TO CITE CRIME DATA, BUT STATISTICS ARE FAR FROM ACCURATE. While 60% of registered voters say violent crime is very important in their voting decisions (according to Pew Research), the inability or refusal of law enforcement agencies to submit data to the FBI has resulted in a “distorted picture of crime trends which misleads voters as well as community policymakers.” The FBI database is intended to compile nationwide crimes reported but over 50% of violent crimes and 70% of property crimes are never reported (according to Federal Bureau of Justice Statistics) by over a quarter of some 23,000 law enforcement agencies – including police departments in major cities like Los Angeles and New York. Meanwhile, criminologists and progressive District Attorneys continue to contend that neither arrest, prosecution or even convictions have anything to do with increasing crime rates. Statistics tell a different story – particularly New York City’s experience during the 1990s, when police officers were increased by a third and with a result of 58% reduction in Felonies and 67% drop in Murders. - THE WOKE DIVERSITY/ EQUITY/ INCLUSION BATTLECRY continues to be the biggest contributor to racial conflict in America. Sean Ono Lennon, son of John Lennon, describes DEI as “Dumb Evil Idiots… In its purest form, DEI is not about diversity; it is a political movement on behalf of certain groups (people of color, LGBTQ, women & trans) deemed ‘oppressed,’ by whites/ Jews/ Asians who are categorically deemed ‘oppressors.’ Under this ideology: (1) One is either a Racist or Anti-Racist, with no such thing as being non-racist; (2) Any policy, program, educational or grading system, even geographical climate change, which leads to unequal outcomes among people of different skin colors is deemed Racist. This includes Advanced Placement exams, IQ tests, Capitalism, Corporations, and any merit-based program/ system/ organization that generates different outcomes for different races that are at variance with population proportions.” The reality and stupidity of today’s ‘crises,’ exemplified by mainstream media:https://www.thefp.com/p/bill-ackman-how-to-fix-harvard?utm_source=post-email-title&publication_id=260347&post_id=140327600&utm_campaign=email-post-title&isFreemail=false&r=31macs&utm_medium=email
- “WESTERN CIVILIZATION, WHICH HAS DOMINATED GLOBAL AFFAIRS FOR HUNDREDS OF YEARS, is now experiencing an unprecedented challenge to its collective power & standing – primarily from the rise of China, but also from the Marxist infection which has metastasized across our governing classes and cultural elites.” Four schools of thought are fighting over the West’s strategic policy today, the outcome of which will determine the West’s future: (1) Classical Primacists – conservative realists focused on maintain the status quo, with priorities for old school geopolitical victory through military capacity; (2) Postmodern Globalists – the incumbent elite, often tenured professors leading influential think tanks who pontificate on the ‘moral’ aspects of human rights; (3) Multipolarists – promoting ‘Balance-of-Power’ and co-existing geopolitical alignments, masquerading as Realists pursuing the ‘national interests’; (4) Eurasianists – who denounce supremacy of the dollar, believe the West has degenerated to godless progressive liberalism, and that the future belongs to Family Values & church-inspired ultra conservatism. A fascinating analysis. https://brusselssignal.eu/2024/04/where-do-you-fit-in-todays-four-schools-of-thought-on-strategic-policy-post-modern-globalists-the-multipolarity-school-the-eurasianist-school-and-the-classical-primacy-school/
- THOUGHTS FOR THE WEEK
Cybersecurity is still weak in much of America. Impersonation scams in the U.S. exceeded $1.1 billion in losses last year, according to statistics collected by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), with 490,000 reported scams in 2023, of which two-thirds involved ‘business impersonation’ complaints and the rest represented ‘government impersonation’ incidents. Most of the scams were conducted via phone calls, followed by email and text messages – which are on the rise for the third year in a row.
Like most cities with high-income earners and low-interest rates during the last decade, Real Estate in Los Angeles saw substantial appreciation in values – to a point where property asset prices expanded beyond intrinsic valuation. Latest UBS Global Index Report which analyzed stats for major cities around the globe for ‘Bubble Risk’ found that: in America, Miami is most overvalued for properties, with Los Angeles second highest, pushing both residential and commercial markets into unaffordability and forcing sellers to lower prices.
